Volunteer Opportunities
- Editing and Translating Films: The Center has much footage and several films that need both editing and translation English /Spanish.
- Editing and Translating Brochures and Website
- Grant writing and Seeking
- Fundraising: Planning events and helping the center in different ways to raise fund for our work
- Tabling events: We have many events that we need someone to sell tickets, pass around sign up sheets and keep track of attendees.
- Leafleting for events: Either at the Center’s events, or events of other organizations with which we work or in public spaces.
- Community Organizing: We need Mexican community organizers to work with and talk to communities that are interested in our projects and/or working with the center already (this type of volunteer work could lead to a part time paid position).
- Cooperative building: Anyone who has expertise or experience in building coops is needed in order to advise and support the coops that work with the center
- Volunteer for upcoming conferences: Every year the Center for Global Justice organizes along with other institutions, international conferences. Help in publicity, organizing, and translating is needed.
- Network Volunteer: Someone to do outreach to other organization here in San Miguel or abroad to form support networks for the center
- Accounting Volunteer: anyone with accounting/bookkeeping knowledge needed to help our coops
- Admin Assistant: To fill in days at the Center’s office answering the phone and receiving visitors.
