Workshop on Alter-globalizations
Encuentro:  Otro Mundo Es Posible

Dear Workshop participant:

We are preparing to welcome 60 participants to our historic Workshop on Alter-globalizations, which will inaugurate a research and learning center here in San Miguel de Allende.  We are especially honored to have been so warmly received by the folks at El Recreo, an alternative cultural space here in SMA.

So that we may dedicate most of our time to discussion, as befits a true Workshop, we are starting a web page so all participants can read each other’s presentations before the Workshop starts.  In this way we can limit summaries of papers to half an hour of each session, leaving an hour to discuss them and advance the Workshop.  We want to publish selected results of the Workshop either in a new on-line journal or in a book. 

You can also see the first version of the program, by Betsy Bowman, on the web page. As you will see, some papers have already been mounted on the website.  If you have not sent yours, please do so as soon as possible, in Spanish and English, to Betsy Bowman and Holly Yasui, our web-master.

Please send papers in MS Word .doc format .

We solicit your thoughts, now or at the Workshop, on the functions, missions and structure of the proposed center.
