Trips to Cuba

In 2012 the Center for Global Justice offers three travel opportunities for you to visit Cuba. Drawing on our 20 year connections with this unique, forbidden (by the US government) country, we are able to provide an in-depth experience. There will be two people-to-people educational trips from April 8 to 18 and October 14 to 24. They will offer a panorama of Cuban society, the achievements of its Revolution and current problems the country is dealing with. Click here to see a sample itinerary.

There will also be a more political trip June 11 to 23. It will include a five day symposium focused on two themes: Cuba’s Renovation of its Socialism and the Global Capitalist Crisis. Participants will include prominent Cuban thinkers as well as Left thinkers from the US and Canada. Click here to see the Call for this exchange.

We are also working on plans for a dance trip in June where you can practice Latin dances with the Cuban masters.

These are legal trips licensed by the US Treasury Department, which has given the Center a specific license for people-to-people educational exchanges. Under this license you will be able to fly to Cuba directly from any of an increasing number of US airports.
