It took a pandemic for many to see just how important workers are in society and to just how much we depend on workers and how we all are connected. Ajowa Nzinga Ifateyo works with Grassroots Economic Organizing (GEO), a decentralized collective of educators, researchers and grassroots activists. She was a founding board member of the U.S. Federation of Worker Cooperatives (USFWC), where she served for nine years.
