As a part of the Global Action for Palestine, we invite you to VIVE PALESTINA 2024, a series of cultural events taking place in San Miguel de Allende. The event has its origins in a discussion on Palestine hosted by the Center for Global Justice some months ago. After that there was a followup meeting and a group of people decided to form an organization --San Miguel por Palestina-- and to go to the street to talk about Palestine and the genocide against its people, perpetrated by Israel.
They started handing out flyers to people in the TOSMA organic market on Saturdays. After some weeks they moved to Ancha de San Antonio, in front of Mercado Sano. Now they gather there every Saturday from 11:00 to 1:30 and continue to talk to the community about the genocide and ways to stop it.
The next step is the use of art and culture in favor of this cause, please join us in this series of events:

José Luis Mendoza will present a group of girls and boys that will sing for Palestinian kids suffering the adversities of the war.

Location: San Juan Community in Los Rodriguéz

We will visit the community of San Juan in Los Rodriguéz where local artists will showcase their mural about Palestine. The women from the community will sell food, drinks and artcrafts. We will also make some activities for the children.
October 10th

5:00 pm - EXHIBIT - YO TE VEO
Artist Lena Bartula coordinates this collaborative art project in support of Palestine in which women and men from many places in Mexico and abroad have participated. The project--Yo Te Veo SMA (I See You)-- involves stitching squares for Palestine, with an eye wide open embroidered on each one. The art pieces are on sale. Proceeds will go to the following organizations:

The donations received in this event will go to Doctors without Borders and to a Palestinian family designated by director Rafael Rangel.
