The liberal political order is collapsing worldwide. Discredited neoliberal economics is resurgent. Inequality widens as a matter of public policy. Nuclear boat diplomacy threatens us all. Climate catastrophe looms. There is great anxiety as the US enters the second year of the Trump presidency. Anxiety … and outrage. Our panel discusses the present conjuncture and the possibilities that it contains. Is this the worst of times? Or might it open the way to the best of times?
