Will the Zombie Capitals Die This Time?

The US economy has remained at the center of the world market thanks in good part to its place in global flows of financial capital, an unrelenting war on labor, and the strengths of its innovation system. This success, however, has come at the cost of a rise of "zombie capitals" in a number of senses of the term. The talk will explore what is being done to keep them alive through the present crisis, and what these policies imply regarding the historical limits of capitalism.
